And on the 25th of December parties had been long and
lively on Unawatuna beach so that many locals and holiday
makers were thrown out of bed by the tsunami waves and
not all had as fortunate as those who had stayed at
the SurfCity guesthouse where guests had even been able
to collect their complete luggage undamaged a day later.
