The Kandy Perehara
Each year the legendary Perehara Festival captures
Kandy for some very special 10 days in July or August.
Visitors from all over Sri Lanka are flooding the city
in order to see up to over 100 elephants, dancers and
musicians.

Very impressive are the huge Elephants that are moving
through the narrow streets of Kandy where 10 processions
with a length of up to 3 hours can be enjoyed by the
visitors and the many participants.
