Some beaches in Sri Lanka are wonderful like this one in the Tamil region of Trincomale.

Famous is the Nilavelli beach with also the Nilavelli Beach Hotel, that unfortunately offers some extremely useless and unfriendly staff.

At one time waiters had not even been able to serve drinks and guests were forced to leave their dinner tables and to buy bottles at the pool bar.

Right next door is the Nilavelli Garden Hotel with nice rooms, better prices and a much more competent staff.

However the prices for Internet usage are way too high just like in many Sri Lankan Hotels.
