per month which are around 40 U.S. Dollar.
Girls in a supermarket earn around 7.000 Rupees and teachers
can make 12.000 Rupees.
Many people live from working around temples and tourists,
who provide income in particular along the coast line.
Bentota, Hikkaduwa, Galle, Unawatuna and Mirissa are the
hotspots in the South of Sri Lanka.
Also Negombo is very popular among visitors and those, who
seek jobs in Sri Lanka.
Since many years the fairly low salaries and the high living
costs have driven a lot of Sri Lankans to seek jobs in the
foreign.
